Matric Dance 2006

The Uplands Matrics walked into “Viva Las Vegas” at their recent farewell function. One did not have to board an aeroplane and jet off to the other side of the world in order to experience the splendour of Las Vegas, the Uplands College Matrics experienced it all, on a starry night, in sensational style, not too far from our doorstep, at Bee Eaters Farm.

They alit, in all their refinery, their chariots, of varying tastes and descriptions and Elvis crooning his lyrics as only he can do.

The casino was the grandest of affairs – no tacky Bingo Hall for our seniors! Chandeliers, gaming tables, black and gold silk, waterfalls with fairy lights, and white sashes truly gave our theme a splendid touch of class.

The glamorous evening was enhanced by haute couture; fine cuisine, excellent company and good ‘tunes’.
