On
31 May the Dance Committee of
2007 presented the Mr &
Miss Congeniality as a fundraiser
for the Matric Farewell. At
the event a Mr & Miss Congeniality
are selected from 20 participants.
The
two winners should have qualities
which epitomise the teenager
of the new millennium: intelligence,
versatility and confidence.
The
evening started with an opening
dance performed by the contestants.
The hosts, Hannah Wakeford and
Celliers Verster, then introduced
each contestant to a very excited
audience and the evening ended
with each participant having
to answer a question.

Last
year’s winner, Marco Fontana,
announced the new Mr Congeniality
for 2007, Jessy Manege, to huge
cheers. Emma Smith (Miss Congeniality
2006), wearing a beautiful gown
designed by Thomas Thomson,
crowned this year’s Miss
Congeniality winner, Jessica
Train.
