Term Letter

Uplands College is a special place. It is special because I feel like I am part of a caring community. It is a community of confident, happy young people, supportive parents and dedicated staff. Yes, these are generalisations but they reflect my experience of Uplands.

This is an environment where we strive to go beyond the conventional benchmarks of educational success, which are academic excellence and sporting and cultural prowess. These should almost be taken for granted.

Uplands is about each pupil travelling along a path of holistic personal growth and development; giving of his or her best along the way and entering into sound relationships.

Pupils are challenged to forge these relationships with each other, with their families, with the broader community and, most importantly, with God.

Our aspirations are summarised in our Mission Statement.

Uplands College recognises and develops the unique potential of each pupil. We strive to equip pupils with the intellectual and moral capability to be happy, successful and confident in an ever-changing world.

The content on this web site will hopefully give you an idea of how we set about giving expression to this mission on a daily basis.
