Uplands played Netball, Girls’ Hockey and Rugby against Lowveld High School in our Annual Derby Day at Lowveld on 7 May 2008.

The U14 Rugby lads found the going tough and lost 27-5. The U15’s were very unfortunate to have lost their match 12-10 in the dying seconds. The 2nd team lost 14-19, but the 1st team managed to display another inspirational performance by beating Lowveld 17-14.

Unfortunately, most of our Netball teams were depleted because of clashes with the Hockey on the same afternoon. Notwithstanding the circumstances, they played with gusto and most of the matches were closely contested. The 1st team were unlucky to lose 27-17 in a game that produced excellent Netball. The Hockey girls did exceptionally well. The U14A’s won 3-0, the U15A’s won 13-0, the U16A’s won 10-0, the 2nd team drew 0-0 and the first team lost 0-2.
