A number of Uplands
teamsparticipated in the St. Peter’s
Junior Tournament in Johannesburg and
the 1st teams played at a festival hosted
by Cornwall Hill in Pretoria. A tournament
of this nature provided the opportunity
for the teams to play more than one match
and against different opposition.
The
1st boys’ hockey team as well as
the 1st girls’ hockey were undefeated.
On top of that, the 1st rugby XV won convincingly
and the 1st netball team lost one out
of five matches. The U15A girls’
hockey team won the Tournament, the U16A
boys’ hockey team lost in their
final and the U14A netball girls were
placed 3rd out of 14 schools. The 1st
team Girls hockey were delighted with
their win over St. Mary’s DSG. |
