CANSA Relay for Life 2009

The Cancer Association of South Africa Relay for Life is a unique event, offering everyone in the community the opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Uplands College became the first school ever in South Africa to participate in this event which took place on 20-21 February 2009. It was a rewarding and successful event.

The proceedings started on Friday evening at 18h00 and finished at 06h00 on Saturday morning. Between 800-1000 people were on campus to support this endeavour and to help raise much needed funds in the fight against cancer. There was a lot of entertainment, live bands performed, lots of food stalls and other fun activities.

We would like to thank the pupils and the parents who gave up their time and supported the inaugural Uplands College Cansa Relay for Life.
