Rugby
In
terms of the Rugby results, the U14’s
won 33-0, the U15’s lost in a
very exciting game 22-27, the 2nd XV
won 23-10 and our 1st Team won 12-0
in a hard-fought encounter. Dylan Park
and Neil Brokensha scored the tries
and Neil converted one from the touch
line.
Girls'
Hockey
The
Girls’ Hockey results were also
very pleasing with our 1st Team continuing
to improve on their previous performances.
They played two matches on Saturday
and beat Cornwall Hill 2-1 and St. Peter’s
College 2-0. The U14A’s won comfortably
4-0 and both the U15A’s and the
U16A’s drew their matches 0-0.
Boys'
Hockey
The Boys’ Hockey results were:
U14A’s won 2-0, U14B’s won
3-0, U16A’s won 2-1, U16B’s
lost 1-3, the 2nd Team drew 0-0 and
the 1st Team lost 0-2. The 1st Team
redeemed themselves by beating St. Peter’s
College 1-0.
Netball
It
was almost a clean sweep for Uplands
on the Netball courts. Herewith, a breakdown
of the scores: U14A won 23 – 9,
U14B won 14 – 2, U15A lost, U15B
won, U16A won 18- 16, U16B won 24 –
8, 2nds 18 – 8 and the 1st Team
lost 11-18. The 1st Team played three
more matches in a mini festival on Saturday
and beat Woodhill College 14-5, lost
1-11 to Trinity House and lost 2-17
to Redhill.
The behaviour of our pupils on and off
the field was exemplary. Two of our
students were concussed during the 2nd
Team Rugby match and we wish Nicholas
Wood and Meindert Struyf a speedy recovery.
Both gentlemen are fine and out of danger.
