Mpumalanga
Swimming Colours: Francis Ferreira,
Nicholas Ferreira, Danielle Barton, Shannay
Allmark and Hannes Hamer were all awarded
Mpumalanga Colours for Swimming.
Mpumalanga
Squash: Joshua Snyman, Jonathan
Myburgh, Cameron Jacobz, Ian Weir and
Rhys Pitchers represented Mpumalanga on
the squash courts in an Inter-provincial
Squash Tournament held in Bloemfontein
from the 30th of April to Sunday, the
3rd of May. Cameron’s U14 Mpumalanga
team won their section and he was selected
as the Number 2 for the SA Country Districts’
team to play in the National Inter-Provincial
championship from 26 – 30 June in
Bloemfontein. Joshua made the U19 SACD
team and their competition will be held
in Cape Town. It is the 4th time that
Joshua has been selected to represent
the SACD team at Nationals. Well done
and congratulations to our achievers.
Mpumalanga
Boys’ Hockey: Uplands College
hosted the final Hockey trials for boys
and for girls. The following pupils have
been selected for the various Mpumalanga
teams:
Mpumalanga U16A - Tyrone Tilly and Calvin
Dalais
Mpumalanga U16B – Matthew Schofield
Mpumalanga U18A – Kevin Addison
Ehlanzeni U14A – Sean Cronje, Cameron
Jacobsz, Jan Jerling and Reece Comley.

Girls’ Hockey: Refi Tsela
has been selected for the Mpumalanga U16B
hockey team and Shannon Tilly has been
selected for the Mpumalanga U14A hockey
side with Courtney Gehle selected as a
non-travelling reserve. Congratulations
and well done ladies.

Rugby: Keith Trytsman has been
selected for the Pumas U19A rugby team
to play in the Inter-Provincial Tournament
hosted by the PUK in Potchefstroom on
29 June-2 July.

Netball: Carla Van der Merwe
has been selected for the U14A Netball
team to play in the Inter-Provincial tournament
in Bloemfontein in June. |
