Truro from the UK paid us a visit 28-29 July 2009 to play against our 1st Netball and Girls 1st Hockey sides. The Truro Netball team was on top of their game. They were well-drilled and made full use of every opportunity to score.

They comfortably won 26-14. Our girls never gave up and produced passages of play of the highest quality.

The 1st Hockey Team, though, had other ideas. They dominated play from the outset and won 4-0. Marike Sonnekus, Ashleigh Austin, Candice Hodgson and Mikaela Erskog were the goal scorers. Both the matches were played in a wonderful spirit. We entertained our visitors with a ‘braai’ on Wednesday evening and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
