Matric Results 2008

Congratulations to Uplands Matrics!

Amy Comley is the top achiever, obtaining more than 80% in 9 subjects and is one of the top 40 pupils out of the 8001 candidates who wrote the exams nationally. Four pupils were ranked in the top 1% of the national IEB results in the following five subjects: Elsa van Velden - Afrikaans First Additional Language, Mpendulo Mbetse - Business Studies, Amy Comley - Life Orientation and Life Sciences, Alex Matthews – Mathematics.

Highlights:

100% Pass Rate (IEB 97%)
89% Exemption Rate (IEB, 79%)
One candidate on the IEB “Outstanding Achievement” list (top 5% of candidates)
Four pupils were ranked in the top 1% of the national IEB results in five subjects
The pupils achieved 0.9 “Level 7” achievements per candidate
