Six senior Netball players were selected for the second and third rounds of the 2007 Mpumalanga Trials, with Tracy Patterson making it through to the fourth round.

Our First and Second teams of 2007 have great potential and we shall be taking these girls on a tour to the Far East.

Elize Kotze, one of South Africa’s best defense players, had the following to say about defense: “Defense is not an egotistical one-man show but a one-team show. A team defending as a unit is terrifying. The presence of such a team will cause a netball court to feel like the worst obstacle course.” This is what we want to see for Netball at Uplands. We need to stand together to make Netball a sport to be reckoned with.
