Swimming
The swimming season takes place in Term I and Term IV at the College. We have a 25m pool with eight lanes and floodlights for evening galas.

The season begins with a Grade 8 “Guppy” Gala, where the entire new Grade 8 group swim in their respective Houses. This is followed by the Inter-house gala the following week. This gala is held in the evening, allowing more parents to enjoy this event.

The College swims in local galas and the Mpumalanga Trial Gala each year. The season concludes with the Inter-schools event held in the Nelspruit 50m pool.

The Uplands College team has always enjoyed good representation at provincial level and our swimmers are always highly competitive in the pool.

In Term IV we have an Inter-house relay gala and pre-season training. This term is also an opportunity to play social water polo. Unfortunately water polo is not a popular sport in the Lowveld, but we seek to develop the sport here at the College.
